Refund File, page 1 sample
Export. Sort. Declare.
CBP runs CAPE inside the ACE Portal. The hard part is the list. That is what we build.
Export from ACE
Run the entry summary reports in ACE (we send a 1-page guide) and upload the file. No passwords, no portal access.
We sort every entry
We remove duplicates, check your filer code, entry types, liquidation dates and IEEPA duty lines, then split entries into File now, Window closing, Past 80 days and Not eligible today.
You declare
Upload our CAPE CSVs in the ACE Portal yourself or hand them to your broker. Track status with the ES-022 and REV-615 reports.
A refund file you can hand to your broker
Built on CBP's published CAPE file rules: an "Entry Number" header, 11-character entries, leading zeros kept, no duplicates, up to 9,999 entries per declaration.
- CAPE declaration CSVs, split to CBP's limits
- Window-closing list with days left per entry
- Past-80-days list to take to counsel
- Not-eligible list with the reason for each entry
- Excel workbook with every entry and the IEEPA duty on it

Questions buyers ask
Can you file the CAPE declaration for us?
No. Under CBP's CAPE rules only the importer of record or its filing broker can submit. Attorneys cannot file it either. We prepare the file; you or your broker upload it.
What do you need from us?
An ACE entry summary export. We send a one-page guide. No passwords, no ACE access.
Is interest paid?
CBP pays interest on refunds under 19 U.S.C. 1505. We show principal duty only; interest is calculated by CBP.
We import from the EU, Japan, Korea or Switzerland. Does it work?
Yes, but under the framework agreements only the IEEPA portion is refunded, and CBP nets amounts. The workbook keeps those lines separate.
What about entries past the 80-day window?
They are listed separately with dates so your counsel can look at other routes, such as a protest. We do not advise on them.
How fast?
One business day after we receive a complete export. Broker desk orders placed by noon ET can be same-day.
Find out what is closing first
Send your entry count and the oldest liquidation date. We tell you free, within one business day, whether any windows are closing.
